Brooklyn Man Fatally Stabbed in Lumberton Last Night


Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Lumberton Township Police Chief Anthony DiLoreto announced today that a Brooklyn man was fatally stabbed last night and another man was injured during a fight outside of a townhouse in the first block of Coriander Drive.

The circumstances surrounding the assault are being investigated by the Lumberton Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Police were called to the area at 10:40 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

Both victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The decedent, who was pronounced dead at 4:24 a.m., has been identified as Moriah Walker, 26, of Brooklyn. The second victim, a 23-year-old male, is listed in critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery for a stab wound.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this point. The general public is not at risk as a result of this incident.
