Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Mount Laurel Police Chief Timothy Hudnall announced that a Mount Laurel woman charged earlier this month with abusing two children she watched in her home has been accused of mistreating four additional youths under her care.
Danielle Ingraham, of the 300 block of Evergreen Road, was charged March 20 with four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Second Degree) and four counts of Cruelty to a Child under her care (Fourth Degree).
She surrendered to authorities and was released following a first appearance in Superior Court. The case will now be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.
The additional charges accuse Ingraham of causing injuries to a 5-month-old child’s head, eyes and wrist that required hospitalization; shaking a 7-month-old child; injuring the cheek of a 10-month-old child; and causing visible injuries to the face and back of a 13-month-old child. She is charged with abusing six children in total.
The investigation began when an infant was taken to a pediatrician for treatment of a bruised eye after being picked up from Ingraham’s residence. Ingraham is accused of slapping the infant, as well as a toddler she had been caring for in her home. She was charged at the time with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Second Degree) and two counts of Cruelty to a Child under her care (Fourth Degree).
The investigation was conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Mount Laurel Police Department. The lead investigators are BCPO Detective Michele Ragone and MLPD Detective Matthew O’Hanlon. Ingraham is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Steve Eife, supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit.
