Riverton Borough Man Receives Prison for Sexually Assaulting Minors


Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 50-year-old Riverton Borough man has been sentenced to 21 years in state prison for the sexual assault of juveniles.

Ian Forrester pled guilty in August 2023 to Aggravated Sexual Assault (First Degree) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Second Degree). The sentence was handed down February 28 in Superior Court in Mount Holly by the Hon. Philip E. Haines, J.S.C. Forrester must serve the entire term before becoming eligible for release.

The assaults occurred several years ago on more than one victim. Details about the crimes, along with the ages of the victims, are being withheld in an effort to protect their identities.

Forrester was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit. The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, with Detective Michele Ragone as the lead investigator.
