Delran Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 60-year-old Delran man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Fillmore Apeadu was charged October 10 with one count of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Third Degree). During the execution of a search warrant at his Stewart Avenue residence, multiple electronic devices were seized and will be examined by detectives from the BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit.

The investigation began after the Prosecutor’s Office received information from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning Apeadu’s online activities. The case will now be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.

The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, with assistance from the Delran Township Police Department and United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office.

The lead investigator is BCPO Detective Sergeant Kevin Sobotka. Apeadu will be prosecuted by the BCPO Special Victims Unit.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
