Burlington City Man Fatally Shot Early Saturday Morning


BURLINGTON CITY – Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Burlington Police Chief Alan Snow announced that a 37-year-old city man was fatally shot early this morning while riding in a car near the intersection of Barclay and York Streets.

Hubert Moore Jr., of York Street, was pronounced dead at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro just after 2 a.m. today. No arrests have been made.

The preliminary investigation suggested that Moore was in the front passenger seat when someone approached the vehicle and began firing at approximately 1:30 a.m. The driver, who was the only other occupant, was not injured.

The investigation is being conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office and the City of Burlington Police Department. The lead investigators are BCPO Detective Tom LaRosa and City of Burlington Detective Corporal Ann Czajka.
